CampCo Day Camps is a privately-owned company that provides high quality, fun, safe and educational day camps, preschool classes, after-school programs, Pajama Parties, CPR/First Aid courses and other recreation programs throughout South Orange County. CampCo programs are held in San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, Ladera Ranch, Dana Point, Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, Lake Forest & Irvine.

CampCo employs over 60 staff during the summer months and approximately 20 staff during the school-year. As CampCo is rapidly growing and regularly promotes from within, part-time staff may have opportunities for full-time careers with the company in the future. Many of CampCo's managers began as Recreation Staff and have moved up quickly over the years. Prior to employment, the prospective candidate must successfully complete a thorough background check, which may include drug screen and TB testing and fingerprinting. Upon hire, Employees will be given 30 days to complete an American Red Cross CPR/First Aid Course.

Recreation Staff/Camp Counselor
Recreation Staff are responsible for supervising children in recreational activities in a day camp at one or more of CampCo's sites in order to ensure a fun, safe and high-quality program and environment for our participants.  Recreation Staff help lead and oversee fun and creative crafts, sports, games, songs, swimming, water games & activities for children under the supervision of the Sr. Recreation Leader. Applicants should have some knowledge of age-appropriate indoor & outdoor crafts, games, swimming pool/water activities & educational activities. Participants' ages usually range from 3-5 years, 5-11 years or 12-15 years.  Recreation Staff may also be scheduled for other camps, special events, after-school programs, office work or other activities as assigned. This position is ideal for someone seeking an entry level Recreation Position.

Assistant Senior Recreation Leader (Supervisor Position)
Assistant Senior Recreation Leaders are responsible for leading a smaller day camp and/or afterschool program or assisting a Senior Recreation Leader at a larger program to ensure a fun, safe and high-quality program and environment for our participants. Asst Sr. Rec. Leaders oversee one or more Recreation staff or volunteers. They plan, lead and oversee fun and creative crafts, sports, games, songs, swimming, water games & activities for children. Applicants should have some knowledge of age-appropriate indoor & outdoor crafts, games, swimming pool/water activities & educational activities. Participants' ages usually range from 3-5 years, 5-11 years or 12-15 years.  Recreation Staff may also be scheduled for other camps, special events, after-school programs, office work or other activities. The Asst. Sr. Recreation Leader will work under the general guidance of the
Day Camp Director or Recreation Manager. This position may be ideal for someone seeking an entry level Supervisor position.

Senior Recreation Leader (Supervisor Position)
Senior Recreation Leaders are responsible for leading a day camp and/or afterschool program to ensure a fun, safe and high-quality program and environment for our participants. Sr. Rec. Leaders oversee one or more Recreation staff or volunteers. They plan, lead and oversee fun and creative crafts, sports, games, songs, swimming, water games & activities for children. Applicants should have some knowledge of age-appropriate indoor & outdoor crafts, games, swimming pool/water activities & educational activities. Participants' ages usually range from 3-5 years, 5-11 years or 12-15 years.  Recreation Staff may also be scheduled for other camps, special events, after-school programs, office work or other activities. The Sr. Recreation Leader will work under the general guidance of the Day Camp Director or Recreation Manager. This position may be ideal for someone who has previously led day camps or recreation programs or for someone who previously worked an entry level in recreation and is now looking for more responsibility.

Assistant Day Camp Director (Management Position)
The Asst. Day Camp Director is in charge of overseeing a smaller group of recreation staff and programs at various locations and camp sites or assisting a Day Camp Director with a larger number of camps. They will work together with recreation staff and management to ensure that the CampCo programs are being run smoothly and successfully. Asst. Day Camp Directors are in charge of planning future activities, purchasing/ordering supplies, materials, and equipment for current programs, regularly evaluating staff and programs by observations, and assisting in the hiring process of new employees as well the planning of training and facilitlate training. Asst. Day Camp Directors use their own vehicles to regularly drive to program locations.

Day Camp Director
(Management Position)
The Day Camp Director is in charge of overseeing recreation staff and programs at various locations and camp sites. They will work together with recreation staff and management to ensure that the CampCo programs are being run smoothly and successfully. Day Camp Directors are in charge of planning future activities, ordering supplies, materials, and equipment for current programs, regularly evaluating staff and programs by observations, and assisting in the hiring process of new employees as well the planning of training and facilitlate training. Day Camp Directors use their own vehicles to regularly drive to program locations.

Office Manager (Management Position)
The Office Manager handles parent calls, registers patrons for camps, files paperwork, organizes camp crafts, prepares staff newsletter, sends promotional emails, plans employee get-togethers, assists in updates to website and other duties.  Applicants should have excellent phone skills, computer experience and the ability to learn new computer programs/website.  Office Manager should expect to work 7:30am-3pm weekdays during the summer.

Recreation Manager (Management Position)
The Recreation Manager is in charge of overseeing staff at all locations and camp sites. He/ She will work together with recreation staff, supervisors and managers to ensure that the CampCo programs are being run smoothly and successfully. The Recreation Manager is in charge of the hiring of potential employees, making sure that staff are up to date with paperwork and certification, scheduling of staff, evaluating staff and programs, planning of new programs, updating the programs as well as general upkeep of the website, and assisting the CampCo Owner in marketing.
